If I were Lee Bowyer, I too would have an attitude problem and want to hit people. I mean, most people in the media still mispronounce his surname, and it must drive him nuts, because it's been doing my head in for years. His name's pronounced BOY-er, not BO-yer (the W is silent). BOY-er has quite a pleasant ring, whereas BO-yer is 'orrible. So maybe if the media called him by his actual name, his mood might improve somewhat.
And the same could be said for Sir Alex Ferguson. His first name's pronounced Alec (as is McLeish's, his Rangers counterpart and fellow Glaswegian). Interviews with Ferguson are always (but hilariously) undermined by interviewers calling him 'Sir Alex' - you can tell he knows he's dealing with a fool and he's consequently not very expansive. It's no wonder he gives the hairdryer treatment to his players or kicks shoes at them in private - he has to let off some of the pent-up stress from being called Alex (al-eks) all the time.
And don't get me started on 'ro-MAN a-bram-O-vich'...
